Services Provided

Individual Therapy

I provide one-on-one therapy for adults and adolescents who are seeking compassionate, identity-affirming support. Together, we work toward clarity, grounding, and meaningful change, always honoring your lived experience and internal wisdom.

Therapy is trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming and designed to create a safe and supportive space for healing, exploration, and growth. At my therapy practice, I believe in creating a space and approach that is individual to you and prioritizes your having an experience of safety, connection, and growth where your story is heard and your needs matter.

Couples Therapy

I offer inclusive support for couples looking to strengthen their connection, improve communication, or navigate challenging patterns together. Whether you’re working through conflict, rebuilding trust, exploring identity changes, healing from relational wounds, or simply wanting to feel closer, couples therapy provides a grounded space to reconnect with intention and compassion.

Together, we’ll slow things down, understand each partner’s needs, and build new ways of relating that feel safer, clearer, and more supportive. All relationship structures and LGBTQIA+ partnerships are welcome.

Consultation

I offer consultation services and provide workshops upon request to individual therapists, groups, or organizations looking to expand their understanding of providing LGBTQIA+ affirming care, navigating challenges with gender identity and transition, or expanding their understanding of trauma-informed care for survivors with complex experiences.

I have provided education nationally on issues related to LGBTQIA+ care including education for clinicians, employers, parents and family, and other community organizations.

common questions

If you’ve never been in therapy before or have had negative experiences with previous therapists, most people feel some anxiety about coming in. Even if you’ve had positive experiences, most people are apprehensive about working with a new person. It’s always my goal to help you feel comfortable and safe and to work with you at your pace.

Therapy is a safe, non-judgmental space where we will work together so I can better understand your goals and what brought you to therapy. Together, we will identify emotions, behaviors, traumas, relationship concerns, or other issues which may be challenging in your life as you are supported in developing coping skills, deeper understanding of self, reduced shame, and increased confidence. Therapy is a space where evidence-based treatment can support the development of healthier patterns and healing focused entirely on you and your individual needs.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes unless we have scheduled a longer session beforehand. Most clinicians provide 50-minute sessions in order to have a 10-minute buffer between sessions for clinical notes, session preparation for the next client, or simply for grounding time which is necessary when doing deeper trauma work with multiple people.

I am currently an out-of-network provider, however I am exploring options for taking insurance in 2026. I can provide a superbill for you to utilize your OON benefits and can accept HSA payments.

When first starting therapy, it is preferred that we meet weekly or every other week so we can establish your goals and build trust as I get to know you and your story. However, if you are limited by finances, we can discuss other options that work for you.

Yes. Your sessions are entirely confidential and protected by HIPPA. Confidentiality is only limited when there is immediate danger to you, someone else, or a child being abused. Therapists are mandated reporters in these instances. In the case of a client being suicidal, we will discuss safety planning, crisis resources, and assess your situation together with the utmost care.

Therapy sessions are typically $150 for 50 minutes. I also work with several programs which can assist with costs and work on sliding scale, meaning I offer reduced rates for individuals who qualify due to financial hardship.

I believe that therapy is beneficial to everyone with the right fit. We all could use an unbiased person for support with the complexities and difficulties we face as human beings. I am dedicated to clients feeling supported and heard, and if someone needs a different type of treatment, I am open and supportive of assisting you with finding someone who provides what you need if you find I am not the right fit for you. I also offer free 15-minute consultations if you’d like to reach out and chat to see if you’d like to schedule an appointment. During your consultation, you can ask any questions you may have or share what you are hoping to gain from therapy so we can determine if working together may be beneficial. Feel free to email me or use the contact form to schedule your consult.

The number of sessions needed varies widely depending on your goals. Some clients come to therapy for a few sessions to learn basic coping skills, and others may see the same therapist for years. You are always free to terminate therapy at any time for any reason. I will provide a recommendation for how frequently we meet based on your needs, typically starting weekly or every other week and stepping down as you feel ready. I also understand that financial issues may limit how often you are able to meet and am flexible with clients in navigating these concerns.

My office is located in Charlotte, NC near the intersection of E WT Harris and The Plaza. I have primarily provided virtual sessions since 2020 but work from a home office where I can meet with clients who need or prefer in-person sessions.

Initial appointments are setup directly with me. You can reach out to my email or on the contact form so we can schedule. Follow-up appointments are typically scheduled with your preferred method of contact over email, text, or at the end of your last appointment.
